In her thirty year senior executive career in nonprofit settings, Baker successfully directed capital campaigns, annual solicitations, and funding proposals to private and governmental sources raising millions of dollars for safety net causes.

Baker then wrote her award-winning memoir, An Unintentional Accomplice: A Personal Perspective on White Responsibility bit.ly/3KmuqfI. Her second book, DISPATCHES, From Racial Divide to a Road of Repair, A Collection of Essays is forthcoming.

In 2025, Baker earned a doctorate in Education from University of Southern California. Today, Baker is a nonprofit consultant, living and working in Los Angeles where she enjoys having her family as neighbors and being involved in the lives of her grandchildren.
