In 2025, Baker earned a doctorate in Education from University of Southern California. Her action research study, “How do I Facilitate White Educators in Reconstructing Their Meaning Making Systems and Reimagining Their Instructional Interactions With Marginalized Students” was nominated for Dissertation of Distinction. Today, Baker is an Adult Educator, Author, and facilitator of Reflective Learning. She lives and works in Los Angeles where she enjoys having her family as neighbors and being involved in the lives of her grandchildren.
